How it works: Each year has a block, each block has a blog section and a music section. The blog part is for sharing thoughts and events, you can click a post for it to expand. The music is to keep track of which songs I liked most this specific year.
It's crazy to think of, but in the same way that it's extremely unlikely to keep getting lucky over and over, it's extremely unlikely for someone to keep getting unlucky over and over. To some extent, everything is a numbers game, and every new day, every new step is a lottery ticket.
Sometimes, hanging on without expectations is all I can do, in the hopes of something breaking the chain of negative events.
And sometimes, the chain will break, and things to the likes of miracles will happen.
I'm being overly dramatic lol, what I'm tryna say is I got a job, a real job, at my dream company, a dream so old that I was a different person when I first had it. Crazy to think of, I was a totally different person when I first dreamed of working at Rockstar. I couldn't do basic things like access my emotions or plan my life. But somehow, this person and I share a dream, shared a dream.
Now I know lol I haven't started there yet, I don't even know how it's gonna go. But still, feels unreal, and I'll make the most of it.
It s actually all thanks to the amazing recruiter who saw potential in me, and forwarded me to another team after I had been rejected from the AI team. The new manager also saw potential, a potential no one seemed to have noticed so far.
I couldn't believe it when I got the phone call. The chain of negative events was finally broken.
